My Vegetable Box

My first vegetable box arrived today. It was a day late but I’m not complaining. As with most delivery drivers, this one got lost too. For some strange reason, the Satnav takes them on a wild goose chase to the other end of our village.

In case you are interested, my local premium vegetable box costs £15.00 and contained the following… leeks, potatoes, red pepper, onions, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, spring onions, carrots, parsnips, mushrooms, pears, oranges, pineapple and apples.

The Coronavirus lockdown has given me time to review our shopping habits. I have always tried to support local and independent businesses but have been depending on supermarkets for items not covered by the local/independent shops.

However since the lockdown, I have been Super annoyed with the supermarkets and am seriously trying to cut them out of my life completely. I am not sure how I am going to achieve that but am going to try.
