It was reported this week that a former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey is taking the Home Office to court over its failure to accept more Christian refugees fleeing Syria.
His argument is that in one year out of the 4,850 Syrians accepted in the UK, only 11 were Christians. He also spoke out of his disappointment about the ABC’s disinterest in this matter.
I didn’t know about this at all but I applaud Lord Carey’s decision to not only speak out but also to take the appropriate action.
It is a pity that in the present CofE, we seem to be wasting time and money on unimportant things while ignoring important matters like the plight of the Syrian Christians.
