You will never find sweet fizzy drinks in the vicarage pantry. We do have a few bottles of Shloer that we might occasionally have with our Sunday roast but other than that I never stock up on soft drinks. Having said that, I might treat myself to a full fat Coca Cola on the rare occasion we go out for a meal provided it comes out of a glass bottle. Personally, I think that Coca Cola out of a glass bottle tastes much better. I don’t do anything that has the word “diet” in it so diet Coke is out for me!
Here in the UK, we are in the process of choosing a new Prime Minister (yet again) and one of the candidate’s favourite drink is Coke! It was only through his interview in the Times newspaper that I learnt that there are two types of Coca Cola. The usual Coke made with high fructose corn syrup and the Mexican version that is made with cane sugar.
I of course have never had the Mexican version but can’t help wondering why not all Coca Colas are made using cane sugar?
