Last Saturday saw the baptism of Baby Sussex. There was a big hoo-ha in the media over his parents decision to keep this event private. I was however distracted by the terminology used to describe this occasion. Through out the day, the word Christening kept popping up on the Radio!
As far as I can remember, nobody I know has ever used the term Christening to describe an infant baptism!!!
